Training Days!
This week we hosted a full day in-house physical intervention training for our staff provided by an expert teacher in the field!
Physical interventions refer to any method of responding to challenging behaviour that involves some degree of direct physical force to limit movement.
The topic is extremely sensitive and creates many ethical and practical concerns. The course looks at ways to implement a strategy that is only used when a client is in danger of injuring themselves or others and without causing pain to the recipient.
Training staff is important to ensure the safety of people receiving and giving care and to maintain high standards of care quality, and we will continue to provide this to all of our dedicated staff!
