Dementia can already leave people feeling isolated and abandoned. This winter, the cost of living crisis is only going to make things worse. Almost half of people with dementia living alone report they never leave the house, and one in four people struggling with the cost of living are being forced to stay in one room to reduce their energy bills.

Loneliness is terrible for anyone, but lack of essential contact with loved ones can accelerate the symptoms for someone living with dementia and deprive them of essential companionship and support through what can be a devastating condition.
